Comments: * Thieme-Becker 13; Vollmer 2. - Hand signed and dated. Born in Rochlitz, he attended the academies in Dresden and Munich and lived in Dresden from 1910 after various study visits. His techniques are lithography and etching, especially the drypoint variant. His subjects are hovering, dance, flying, and especially in the 1920s, his works can be classified as Expressionism. It may be that these subjects helped him to endure the stunted spine that hindered him all his life. - Small remnants of assembly on the back.
