    Description

    Professional Nd:YAG laser rod, 4mm dia. x 80 mm length, flat - flat ends, both ends wedged cca. 2 degrees from normal to rod axis. One end is AR coated, the other one looks as having a reflective mirror coating. Rod made in Turnov, Czech Republic, by the famous crystal growing company Crytur, around mid 80'. A quality certificate from a rod of similar size is attached in the picture. Very good optical quality, see the pictures with transmittance. Yellow color due to additional doping with cerium oxide (CeO
    2
    ) to reduce solarization during pumping - this assures a longer lifetime of the yellow rod than of a regular violet Nd:YAG rod, under the same pumping conditions. The rod was used in some preliminary R&D experiments. Good for an oscillator giving a close to TEM
