    Description

Up for bid is a Louisville Kentucky Tourist Guide and Map and a Brochure from the Farmington Home in Louisville. The Tourist Guide is chockful of information about what to see on your trip to Louisville. It even includes a bi-color (pink and black - classy) illustrated map of the city with highlights of the "Glamorous, Historical Louisville Area". This pamphlet is not dated but it's post-1962 because it mentions The Rauch Memorial Planetarium, which was dedicated in 1962. It is very good used condition. There is some creasing along one fold and a tiny tear at the end of one fold. The Farmington brochure has a boat-load of information about Farmington in Louisville, which was designed by Thomas Jefferson and built by John and Lucy Fry Speed. It was even visited by Abraham Lincoln, a good friend of one of the Speed's sons! Apparently, he enjoyed his visit immensely. This pamphlet is also in very good condition. There is a little folding on one corner but there are no rips or tears. Fun pieces of Louisville history!
This would make a great gift for your cousin from
Kentucky or the Thomas Jefferson or Abraham Lincoln fans in your life (OK I know that's a stretch).
