    Description

    Gauge cluster disassembled, cleaned, inspected, bench tested.
    Chrome bezel plating has worn off exposing copper base. Will need to be replaced or replated - will work as driver quality only.
    Metal housing media cleaned.
    Lens has no cracks or breaks, nice clear lens.
    Bench tested Gasoline and Battery gauges by applying a voltage to each. The needles react and move on both
    gauges thus confirming electrical continuity.
    Bench tested the Oil gauge by applying 20 PSI of air and the needle does react and moves.
    Temperature gauge not tested but the needle does move and the capillary tube shows no damage or rust issues. (most capillary tubes are missing and are cut off the gauge - this one appears to be in undamaged condition. The capillary tube length is 39 inches.
    Lubricated the needle pivot points on the gauges with synthetic watch oil
    As can be seen in the pictures the the gauge faces are all faded and you will need a gauge cluster reface decal kit to restore to a new look condition (available on Ebay).
    FYI
    The gauge cluster chrome bezel is installed by crimping the bezel around its circumference to the gauge cluster housing. I doubt the buyer will want to install the chrome bezel as-is due to its current condition so I did not crimp the chrome bezel back on. Rather I assume the buyer will either replace the bezel with a reproduction (if available), an undamaged used bezel or send the bezel out for chrome replating. (The buyer may also want to repaint the interior of the housing and final clean the lens prior to re-installing the bezel).
    Prior to crimping the chrome bezel back on, the lens will need to be sealed around its circumference to the chrome bezel. The factory used a very messy tar-based sealant that over time dried out and became rock hard. I removed the dried sealant. I recommend a non hardening product such as 3M Rope Caulk (or other equivalent product). I partially sealed the lens to the chrome bezel in a couple of places with 3M Rope Caulk to show how the glass lens is sealed to the chrome bezel.
